The Author’s Story
Peter Ancone has more than three decades of professional experience in the use of marketing and communications as brand- and practice-building tools. He has created ad campaigns and marketing materials for a wide range of commercial enterprises, professional practitioners, financial institutions and government organizations. His areas of expertise include advertising campaign development, content creation and creative direction in the areas of print, broadcast, outdoor/indoor billboards. Peter also has extensive experience in the development of marketing/sales support materials, such as presentation aids, trade show displays, and sales literature.
Ancone has been self employed for nearly four decades. He started a conventional advertising agency with employees at age 28 and five years later, realized that he hated the job that he created! He revised his business model and at age 33 started a marketing communications firm which offered both consultative and creative services. In the 1980s, long before the internet changed the nature of work, Ancone worked from a home office without employees and built a strong book of clients and with it, a life-style and work-style that fit his interests in family and outdoor activities.
Pete is an active enterpriser and is currently operating a marketing consulting practice and managing a publishing company. He shares his entrepreneurial experience with others via his blog, books and occasional workshops.
